1. What is Bandit Base?
Bandit Base is the interactive home of Banditopia. It gives you a way to step into the universe by creating original characters, exploring lore and crews, completing missions and achievements, earning EXP and Shil, and connecting with the growing Banditopia community.
2. Do I need to know the Banditopia story before using Bandit Base?
Not at all. Bandit Base is designed for both newcomers and longtime followers of Banditopia. The Lore section can introduce you to the world, its history, locations, crews, characters, culture, and conflicts as you explore.
3. Is Bandit Base a game?
Not exactly. Bandit Base combines elements of a companion app, community platform, and RPG-inspired progression system. You can create characters, earn EXP, level up, collect Shil, complete missions, and unlock achievements, but the main experience revolves around becoming part of the Banditopia universe rather than traditional gameplay.
4. What can I do in Bandit Base?
You can create and manage Banditopia characters, explore world lore, learn about the city's crews, discover community-created characters, complete missions and achievements, earn EXP and Shil, level up your account, and build your reputation throughout the Base.
5. Do I need an account to use Bandit Base?
Some information may be available without a full profile, but an account is needed to take advantage of Bandit Base's personalized features. Your account allows the Base to save your characters, progression, Shil, achievements, rewards, and other activity.
6. Will more content be added to Bandit Base?
Yes. Bandit Base is designed to grow alongside Banditopia. New lore, characters, locations, missions, achievements, rewards, customization options, community features, and other experiences can be introduced as the world continues expanding.
🦝 Characters & Crews
7. Can I create my own Banditopia character?
Yes. Your Bandit Dossier lets you create an original character and establish their identity within Banditopia, including details such as their name, alias, species, personality, crew, role, and fit.
8. Can I create more than one character?
Yes. Bandit Base is designed to let your account hold a roster of original characters rather than limiting your experience to a single Bandit. This gives you room to experiment with different species, personalities, styles, affiliations, and stories.
9. What are Crews?
Crews are major factions operating throughout Banditopia. Each has its own identity, culture, territory, goals, style, and way of navigating the city's underworld. The major factions include the Cash Cartel, Hood Hounds, Getaway Syndicate, Scavengers, and Digital Jackals.
10. Do I have to join a Crew?
No. While joining a Crew gives your character an affiliation within Banditopia, you can also remain Independent. This is a good option for characters whose loyalty doesn't belong to any of the city's major factions.
11. Does my Crew affect how I use Bandit Base?
Your Crew is currently an important part of your character's identity and place within the world. As Bandit Base grows, Crew affiliations also provide opportunities for deeper faction-based content and community experiences.
12. Can I see characters created by other users?
Yes. The community side of Bandit Base allows you to discover characters created by other Bandits. It's a way to see how other users interpret the world through different species, styles, personalities, roles, and Crew affiliations.
💰 Progression & Shil
13. What is Shil?
Shil is the official currency of Banditopia. Within the lore, Shil exists in both physical and digital forms, while some areas still rely on bartering. In Bandit Base, Shil acts as a reward currency tied to your activity and progression.
14. How do I earn Shil?
Shil can be earned by participating in Bandit Base and completing activities such as missions and achievements. Different objectives may provide different Shil rewards depending on their difficulty or significance.
15. How do I earn EXP and level up?
Complete missions, unlock achievements, and participate in eligible activities to earn EXP. As your total EXP increases, your Bandit Base level rises, creating a visible record of how much progress you've made within the community.
16. What are Missions?
Missions are objectives that give you specific activities or milestones to complete throughout Bandit Base. Completing them can reward you with EXP, Shil, or other forms of progression while encouraging you to explore more of what the Base has to offer.
17. What are Achievements?
Achievements recognize milestones you've reached while using Bandit Base. Some reward normal progression and participation, while others may challenge you to accomplish something more specific. Hidden Achievements can also reward actions without telling you their exact requirements beforehand.
18. What can I unlock by progressing through Bandit Base?
Progression can reward things such as titles, achievements, Shil, profile rewards, customization options, and other collectibles or features. Not everything has to be unlocked through your level either—some rewards can require particular missions, achievements, or accomplishments.
⚙️ Account & App Questions
19. Is Bandit Base free to use?
Bandit Base's core experience is intended to give users access to the Banditopia community and its primary features. If premium content, purchases, subscriptions, or other paid features are introduced, their pricing and requirements should be clearly identified within the app.
20. Can I change my profile information?
Where editing is available, you can update eligible information associated with your Bandit Base profile. Certain progression information—such as your EXP, level, achievements, and earned rewards—is tied to your activity rather than manually selected.
21. Can I edit a character after creating them?
Eligible character information can be updated through the character management features available in Bandit Base. Certain restrictions may be placed on specific details in the future if they're connected to progression, events, or other Banditopia systems.
22. What happens if I forget my password?
Use the Forgot Password option on the login screen and follow the instructions sent to the email associated with your account. For your security, Bandit Base should never need you to send your password directly to another user.
23. How is my information used and protected?
Bandit Base uses account and activity information to provide features such as profiles, character creation, progression, community content, and account functionality. More information about what is collected, how it's used, and your privacy choices should be available through the Bandit Base Privacy Policy.
24. How do I report a bug, inappropriate content, or another problem?
If you encounter a technical issue, inappropriate community content, or another problem while using Bandit Base, use the available reporting/support option or contact the Bandit Base support team. When reporting technical problems, providing details about what happened can make the issue easier to identify and fix.
